This is a must have for me. I was in attendance at the JFK show in Philadelphia on 19 September of 1987. Met someone named Tommy Animal from Chapel, Hill North Carolina. He and my group of friends all headed to about 10 feet from the stage-barrier in front of David. By the time the show began we could stand without our feet on the ground - we were packed tighter than I cared to be.

I couldn't believe it when I first heard Richard's piano play the first note of Echoes. It took a while to sink in that they were actually opening my first Pink Floyd show with ECHOES!!!

This is the first recording of that tour that I've come in contact with that has Echoes as the opener. From what I understand, David just didn't feel right playing the tune anymore, so they switched things around to open with SOYCD soon after that show. I heard some comment about him being uncomfortable playing Echoes while standing - a reference to the scene from Pompeii, perhaps. [And you know how rumors are - I could totally have that wrong, but they did stop playing Echoes.]

Anyway - I really look forward to this show. I would love to have a copy of the JFK show, but this is the next best thing. :D

Three seeds and my machine can't find any of them for more than a few minutes... I hope this one is worth the wait ;)
