This information I received from two different people:

"Once again, I never even knew footage other than the two Movies "Amougies Music Power" and "European Music Revolution" existed!

Also, I was pleased to hear that it is still possible to arrange a private screening of those two movies, but unfortunately, this can only be done in France, where the tapes are to be found. Some info here:

here is the original link, in french: http://www.rock6070.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7453

The last commenter talks about how he arranged such a screening, and provides a link to the French Film archives. So who knows, if you ever go to France sometime...."

And

"Do you know I
recently had the chance to finally see the 2 colour movies about the
festival ? (4 hours !)
Well it was on a smal viewer at the french movies archives or CNC (and
of course I wasn't allowed to record it) but I have seen them !
The man who made for me the projection told me it will be out soon for
a movie musical festival (but I don't know where & when !)
There was a lot of free jazz but also Gong (great but too short !),
Soft Machine, Pretty Things (including a jam with Zappa), East Of
Eden, Caravan, Ame Son, The Nice, Captain Beefheart and a lot of Pink
Floyd (also including the jam with Zappa)
... But unfortunally no Blossom Toes :(
I hope these movies will see the light one day on dvd (with more Gong
footage & the Blossom Toes !) "

I believe this movie is called "Music Power."
There have been snippets of it that have surfaced, including part of CwtAE, STC, and GitC.
It is almost a certainty that the entire event, including the legendary version of IO featuring Frank Zappa, was filmed in total.
We can only hope that the whole thing is finally allowed to fall into our hands.
It's high time...Cymbaline!

I Have A Very Short Documentary from INA Archive about this festival (may 1970). Sadly, No Pink Floyd but Very Great Footage of Soft Machine & Gong

I remember having read once upon a time in a german pink floyd biography that the floyd gig at amougies was filmed but the floyd prohibited the release of that footage.
There was no hint if it was the entire performance that was filmed, but i always supposed/hoped that the whole show was meant.

To me the IO jam was always the "gathering of the gods" as i adore FZ almost as much as PF and it would make my "weenie pop up" aswell to finally see it as a pro shoot one day...

Its no surprise big conglomerates which I assume CNC is, are slowly turning into used to be conglomerates. They all worship at the house of Kerrching which is deep in the Temple of Greed.

A piece like this, now 40 years old and these guys are touting it to get people into an exhibition that can't attract enough without it. Nice entrepeneuring! I'll send them a Euro in the post, they obviously need it.

Its the record companies who pick up the tab. I haven't bought anything since 2000 ish and have vowed never to again. They've taken enough of my money and more over the years.

Little comfort to know another country has its BBC types.

Note to self : next time in France drive straight through without stopping and avoid Bois d'Arcy at all costs.

Is there any PF in the "footage other" ...cause the guy seems to be talking about both movies he achieved to watch have PF, right...but I don't understand what is the "footage other".

Maybe some french member could arrange a screening and slip the projector guy some money for the the footage

Great news, if only we had a member working at BBC for more footage :drool::drool:

This is cool. I hope something comes out of it. I want to see a lot of the footage, not just Floyd. I once traded some stuff and got a disk of heavily editted Amougies stuff including an early version of the Softs' Moon in June morphed into The Nice doing Rondo! Whoooaaa!

I've read quote from a French forum on a Zappa French yahoogroup....

a French saw this movie on a monitor/tv screen recently and saw the whole stuff including "Interstellar Overdrive" with the jam with Zappa :
"Beaucoup de free jazz et du GONG (beaucoup trop court !), Soft Machine,
East of Eden, Pretty Things, Caravan, Ame Son, Captain Beefheart, Ten
Years After, The Nice ainsi que pas mal de Pink Floyd (dont le bœuf avec
Zappa) le tout en couleur !!!
(to be short, he says having seen on a small monitor/tube screen (copy wasn't allowed) the whole stuff including Zappa jaming with the floyd on Interstellar Overdrive) (and the whole stuff was in colour)

check also zappateers :

(I think that the last post is probably from the same guy who posted on rock6070 forum)

by the way, as far as I know, this is the first time that I read a post from someone who saw recently the movie, and not from memories from the initial projection...
