I've been thinking about taking something along with me to one of the upcoming Wall concerts.

If you were going to buy a pocket-sized recording device to take with you, what would you choose? What has the best quality, capacity, etc?

check here http://taperssection.com.

currently i have a iRiver H120 & H140 rockboxed (limited to 16/44.1K) but thinking of getting Sony PCM-M10 so that i can do 24/96K recording http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=124639.0
http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/cat-audio/resource.solutions.bbsccms-assets-cat-audio-solutions-pcmm10.shtml it suppose to have the best battery life and smaller than Edirol or Tascam

I have also heard that this does a good job cost effectively when paired with the core sound mics.

I was going to suggest this one, but you just beat me to it.
I have this particular Tascam, and it does a terrific job.
Highly recommended.
