To my knowledge the mention of the rejected evening standard lyrics version was only a publicity gag back then....

Yes, I can confirm it. It is on a bonus Blu-ray that has a documentary on the making of the show. The other extra, besides The Simple Facts, is a time-lapse of the creation of the mural wall that was made using the boxes.
I remember downloading a camera-pointing-to-the-screen version of the conversation here on Yeeshkul. Not sure if it is still there.
I don't know if it has been discussed before, but I am wondering something about 2 videos:
- the instrumental jam becoming Embryo (also known as "Corrosion") that was filmed in French TV studios on 5 December 1970, is cut short on the video we all know. It is obvious that more of it was broadcast (actually the TV archive that surfaced in 2006 contained the interview with Roland Petit, Zizi Jeanmaire and their daughter, followed by the Floyd jam and the file cuts abrupty after about 6 minutes of Floyd). So I expected that the video in the Early Years box would be longer (more of Embryo).
But the timings given in the tracklists are 3.28 and 2.39 for the improvisations+Embryo, so also 6 minutes in total.
I'm afraid that the video in the official box will be cut as well...
- Do we know if the (hilarious) footage from Samedy & Compagnie will be in colour?
Yesterday I took my time to study the contents of the box real close, and it is really amazing how much they managed to include, so much greatness in one box.
I started to wonder what footage might be used for menus? Maybe something not listed as contents?
And I have a question about the Interstellar Overdrive 'Science Fiction' 9:33. I'm not sure I've seen it before. Has it been in circulation already? I'm hoping for some new (to me) footage of Syd's Floyd 😊
It has been confirmed on www.brain-damage.co.uk that all discs are region free.
