Just came across this thread while looking for something. I only knew Mike towards the end of his life, over at the AFG forums, he was truly a unique person, and while I didn't know him irl, and only knew him for a brief period of time, he left a lasting impression on me. It's nice to be reminded that people like him exist (or in this case, existed) once in a while.
