If you like that, download the entire album.

I am very surprised that you advertised a link to MP3 lossy sound for DSOTM. MP3 is a virus amongst other formats, and is not allowed on many Hubs and sites like Y.

Sure... We must demand the ultimate in fidelity when we ask our multi-core-multi-GHz screamers make bleeps and bloops like the computers we had 25 years ago. So who's going to try contacting the author to see if he's willing to do a 24-96 hi-res transfer in pristine lossless FLAC? I kid, I kid.

I just found this on a torrent site

    Sony SACD Player Analog out > EMU-0404 24 bit 96 khz internal crystal selected soundcard > wavelab5 @ 24bit / 96 kHz wav > flac.
No other processing was done to the files.

Does that sound good?...There is no way that the name of the site will be mentioned here.

So you're posting a counter-example (in terms of quality) in an attempt to drive home your message that links to other places should not be posted ...is that correct? I think that line of thinking falls apart, because in terms of share-friendliness, one of the aforementioned is clearly not! From my 10000ft view, the other is a grey-area ...at worst, in both respect to stated rules and general forum ettiquette.

For what it's worth, I found this DSotM before it was mentioned on Y!, enjoyed it, and suspect that other members here will also like to hear.

Furthermore, there are other links on Y! to YouTube clips (obviously lossy), that don't need chiming in on for being lossy. The files aren't hosted or torrented here. This thread is basically a repeat from a few days ago. So, I'm just not seeing the problem here.

The problem is...I stated a FLAC lossless official file. You stated an MP3 official file. It is okay asking about SACDs and the like, including CDDAs...But in your post, there was 2 lossy examples. MP3 and FLV. I hope that clears it up, jx

That's the thing I'm having difficulty with; I wonder if the mp3files are indeed "official", in any sense that is meaningful to us end-listeners and Y! forum frequenters. That's probably a question best left between the author and the right-holders. In the meantime, hell, I downloaded it. I certainly won't be putting it in my hub share or uploading elsewhere, but I'm sure I'll give it another listen.
