All I can say at this point is that I hope TJ was right, and that Andy's family members have had the opportunity to read this thread.
I think they would be comforted to know so many people - most of whom never actually met him - think so highly of him.
He was a right good bloke.

Well said OP. I miss Andy and his contributions here as well. :tear: I think the best thing we as a community can do to honor his memory is to share, share, share and share some more. Y has been a little slow since his passing. Let's "kick it up a notch" around here. It sounds corny, but I think it's what Andy would want.

Just found out about this via this website, and I am truly shocked and upset. I had been meaning to send Andy a message asking for his master list of gigs. I spoke at length on the telephone to him about a year ago and he helped me upload a DG concert I had taped but been unable to share to the Floyd community. He talked me through the process and his patience was immeasurable and IT knowledge profund - not to mention his Floyd knowledge and devotion. RIP and shine on forever.

Andy died suddenly of Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), as a result of Ishaemic Heart Disease on the night of the 24th April 2010.

Y has lost a valuable member.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wfe and family.

ive been ill & ive only just seen this andy was a cool dude he helped me when i joined here he always had advice for searching , had amazing knowledge of the floyd & although i never met him i feel a genuine sense of loss he was a credit to us & i will miss him godbless andyxxxx

Man, I hated to see this. Been out of the PF loop for some time.
I had talked to Andy on and off for about 6 years.

What sad news. He helped me find the radio broadcast of Live 8. Can't believe this happened. RIP Andy.
