Default New Gilmour solo album and tour for 2012-2013 ?

The rumor of the Floyd reuniting for Olympic Games has a benefit: it forced a band's spokesman to reveal/confirm that David is working on his new solo album right now !

According to information I had thanks to a French friend from the PF French forum, Gilmour is currently recording is new solo album in the South of France. Phil Manzanera is involved, as well as drummer Claude Salmieri.

Also, here are some pictures of the studio where David is currently recording (Studios La Fabrique in Saint-Rémy de Provence):

Great news, I'm looking forward to it. It seems a nice studio with a kind of relaxed atmosphere around it, looking at the pictures. Bring on the tour!

It's time to save money for the 1 CD edition, 2 CD edition, 2 CD 1 DVD edition, 2CD 2DVD edition and the Deluxe 2CD 2DVD 1 Bluray.....

But seriously, I'm really looking forward for another Gilmour album, I even had a feeling about a new one and thought about it last week.

Love the last one he did.
Glad to hear that he hasn't hung up the fabled Black Strat just yet.

Praise the Lord. I wasn't savvy enough to catch him on his last tour (so few dates/places)... won't be making that mistake again. Too young to have seen them in their prime, seeing Waters and Gilmour solo will have to do.

Seems like it could be legit. Although, all of this does make me wonder why he would use this studio and not the Astoria. Considering thats where the last two floyd albums and OAI were recorded.

I hope everything works out and this happens! Never been to a PF or Solo concert before and I will not miss this tour! I just hope he plays Pink Floyd material in his second set like he did in his On an Island and Gdansk tours. If I get to hear Echoes, my life will be fulfilled! (musically)

Nothing against Roger but his shows never excite me as much as Gimour's do.

If this is true...I hope he writes the songs instead of Polly

Never thought I would have such a strong mood swing, from to :tear:. I'm too young to have seen either PF or DG on their tours, and since I'm not much of a Waters/Wall fan, I would die for another DG tour.

It does seem strange that it isn't at the Astoria. Hmm. I'll believe this when I see it.
