They tried to organize a meeting couple of months ago and it was a failure in terms of info and material.

Definitely in agreement with TJ about fans.
The point about Rolf was that he was a long-time fan who used his love of the band to make more fans, while at the same time using his extensive knowledge to keep a mysterious band's history as accurate as possible.
And he did all that without being an elitist.

I was introduced to the band as a kid when 'Money' got a lot of airplay.
The first Floyd album I bought was 'A Nice Pair' and with that there was no turning back.
I'm forever grateful to everyone and anyone who have been nice enough to share some great moments I was not fortunate enough to have lived.

"A Nice Pair" were my first LPs´too! Strange because ´75 was "Wish You Were Here" and "DSOTM" much more popular, but I wanted to hear or have the early ones first. Maybe that´s the reason why I´m into the early stuff more than anything till today? Was an kind of heavy embossing I believe now....
And also I´m endless grateful to people like Grolsch and others which kept the tale going till today.
