This is amazing. Just mind-blowing that this has been around as unidentified background audio.

    Syd's Floyd remains elusive...

    This is great new stuff!

From the huntleyarchives.com site for the silent video #19576 posted here:

"Brighton. Artist. Running around the streets of Brighton. People arriving at nightclub. Nightclub scene.

Psychedelic scenes. Painter on Brighton Pier. He spots woman through telescope. He chases after her to the Brighton Pavilion but loses her. He waits outside of nightclub, checking out the girls. Lots of 1960s fashion."

To me, this narrows it down a bit more to the 15/4/67 date at the pier.

I spy a Rickenbacker bass at 1:20. Its either Roger Waters or a clip of The Who, The Kinks, The Syn, The BeeGees or Donovan. Not sure who else had an RM1999 back then. Sounds like Reaction in G to me!

Yes, I'm amazed. Not only did the actual youtube video take 8 months to be found, but the film itself seems never to have been noticed and seems not to have been documented in any of the Pink Floyd books or sites. It makes me wonder what else is hiding.

And I'd also go for the April date because it's in the right location (the Pier). Obviously the input of someone familiar with 60's Brighton venues would be useful here.

Keyboard sounds like Rick (unless his style was commonplace???)

    Anyone identifies the place?
I suppose the sound was not mixed, considering is a very low budget stuff.
Ergo, anyone was around Brighton in 1967 (I was born lately, and in the other hemisphere  )
    Nick Mason
I do have some bootlegs of our stuff to remind me how much I hate them. ( )

    Roger Waters
Q: How do you feel about fans exchanging bootlegs?
    A: I think it sounds like a healthy ( ) hobby.

    Dave Gilmour
The sound quality is usually dreadful ( ), but I've got one with hundreds of things on. Not quite sure where they've got it from. For people like us who've done a lot over the years it's not a major issue ( )

Ths is definitely the Floyd. Let's not rule interstellar overdrive out. it sounds like a speeded up version of the portion that The Piper club 1968 video starts with

The problem with it being Reaction in G or Interstellar Overdrive is that it's in the wrong key -- both of those songs are in E (oddly enough for Reaction in G), with no section that corresponds with the key of this clip (A, once you compensate for film > PAL speed-up).

I think we're looking at Arnold Layne or, if the 1967-04-15 date and setlist are correct, Candy and a Currant Bun.

It was the 15/04/1967 K4 Festival, as detailed on my original Missing Episodes Forum thread. Please have a read because the 40-minute film could contain further Floyd for all anyone knows.

Great find! At 06:13 the guy can be seen running towards and the entering the Brighton Dome. On the other hand, at 07:38 he's loitering in front of an "Exhibition Theatre" (you can make out "...IBITION TH..." on the upper side of the frame). The two pillars flanking the door look a lot like those at the fron of the Top Rank Suite (here the information relates about the Odeon cinema, which replaced the Suite).
