This might be old news, but here Waters confirmes Animals 5.1 is coming out (not any date mention), and Po is working/finish on the new updated artwork for it.

Oh boy...
After the mastering mistakes with ATD and especially the album remixes on TEY set (ATD being the least flawed and very salvageable), I'm more worried than excited.

Hopefully it will come soon, from what I understand in the Floydian world,
design and artwork tends so come late and near the release dates, so since the artwork seems to
be finish or close to be, I hope it won`t take too long to be released.

Also hope this is just one of the archive works they have done, that more is coming soon.

Anyway very happy about this, and with this all my top 3 Floydian albums are released in 5.1 :-)

If you're referring to me then yes, I've been updating both forums as info comes in. At least the details that I'm allowed to reveal at this time.

This will more than likely be the work of James Guthrie. If there's a new 5.1 mix then a new stereo mix is also very likely. Looking forward to hearing the drums beefed up. I'm sure we'll soon find out whether or not this ends up being a stand alone release or something more deluxe. I'd love to see one (or more) of the soundboard recordings from this tour cleaned up and possibly include the early demos as well.
