Not bootleggers, they're mostly targeting those who are selling pirated and counterfeit copies of official material.

Yep, if this news story is accurate as written, it appears that people that we collectors rightly dislike for their illegal/unscrupulous activity are the subjects of these suits.
It seems that Roger himself tacitly approves of the sincere non-profit collectors (us), as suggested by how he helpfully identified each gig during their "In The Flesh" tour in the middle of "Pigs" and later during "The Wall" tour at the beginning of "Run Like Hell."
None of the bandmembers can just explicitly approve of unofficial recordings, out of concern for protecting their legitimate copyrights, but they have now been assisted greatly by the collecting community with TEY.

Got to laugh, a thread about dodgy gear, started by "dellboy". (you may not get it if you're not a Brit).

Bootlegging is one thing. Wrong, yes, but at least it doesn't directly compete for sales with the band's legit catalog. The $5 new copies of The Endless River that were on ebay shipping from the Russian Federation on the other hand... Not to mention all the special vinyl reissues in various colors and picture discs... if you really look, those fake official releases are now more widespread than the bootleg releases of live shows and outtakes.

Hmm ...I wonder if Burning Shed will pull the "Pink Floyd BBC" vinyl they've been offering up recently? I am shocked they wouldn't check first....
