Default A Momentary Lapse Of Reason/Another Lapse Tours - Recommendations

I've been having a look for a thread that lists the best shows from the 1987/89 tour.

I know it is very few people's first choice, however following on from the release of The Later Years I have begun to better appreciate Delicate Sound Of Thunder in it's remixed and extended form as it now represents the full setlist, rather than the original 1988 highlights release.

If someone could point at a previous thread, or give some recommendations I would be very grateful.

I have one I like from 1988-07-08 from Modena, Italy (the original CDs were named "Nothing is Changed").

    Here's a brief description I found from a Google search: http://just-add-cones.blogspot.com/2...s-changed.html

It was recorded about a month or so before the Delicate Sound of Thunder and the band was in great shape. If you want to hear Echoes then you need to find a show from the very beginning of the tour in 1987.

A nice compilation of soundboard stuff edited together like a complete show:

This makes for a nice supplement to the Later Years set.

Thank you for that suggestion. I wasn't quite expecting something this good. I've only listened to few tracks, however this is excellent, thanks again.

It was mainly the restoration of Welcome To The Machine to DSOT in The Later Years that brought me back to this period and the version here is really good, different and interesting. Plus Echoes sounds heavier and more improvised.

Glad you're digging it! The Modena show mentioned above is great too. I like the Chicago shows from September '87 taped by "Rick B" a whole lot. The sound is good, and one of them has Echoes in the set list as well. There's quite a few good ones from this era really. I'll leave others to chime in, but those are a few of my favorites.

    Here's the Chicago shows:

Here's a cool version of Welcome to The Machine that someone worked on here: http://yeeshkul.com/forum/showthread...ter-and-matrix

There's no seeders, but surely someone here would still have the original file set to seed for you. Worth the download!
