    Default Zoom Pink Floyd

Here's a slightly random idea. With many people here on Y dealing with being stuck inside a lot and various degrees of isolation due to the global pandemic, would it be a good idea to organise a 40 minute free zoom meeting to talk about the Floyd?

If it is, I could contribute a short demo of how I transfer tapes, show everyone marbal's tape collection and would happily answer any questions. It would certainly not be all about me, of course. And for those more technically minded than me, would it just be a matter of posting the link here in the thread and then anyone who wants to can join?

    sounds pretty cool!
"If a monkey hoarded more bananas than he could eat, while most of the other monkeys starved,
scientists would study that monkey to figure out what the heck was wrong with him. When humans
do it, we put them on the cover of Forbes".

    sounds funny...
i might show you only a half wall of cassette decks, though.

Glad to get some positive replies

We'd need to pick a suitable time. Just been looking at Google and gotta_be_crazy in Argentina is three hours behind GMT. I believe we have England, Argentina, Germany and Italy so far. Sounds like a line up for a World Cup semi final (I wish).

    Oh yes...

and Germany vs Italy is a great classic in regards of world cup semi-finals...

1970 and 2006 ones (happily) come to mind.

I'd be interested in being a fly-on-the-wall for some of the tech talk you've proposed.
