Well, best wishes to this guy on getting his country back. However... not a vocal styling that meshes with the Pink Floyd sound.

It should go without saying that this is more about Ukraine and Dave lending use of a big resource to make a statement than Pink Floyd music. Turns out these guys just knocking out a chord progression and guitar solo sound better than most things on the airways nowadays.

Would have been cool to give a little more to the artwork than just a front cover image though. Lyrics and translation for a start!

    Tech digression:
I grabbed the 24/96 stereo flac. Didn't see a surround mix offered. There are no cinematic elements in the mix though so kind of a moot point. It might be on Apple music's mutilated Atmos streaming. (10 channels sharing 192k aac quality) I'm not playing with them or their big lockdown on the format extension right now.

Just in case some didn't know: Delicate Sound of Thunder was the first rock album to be played in space. A Russian cosmonaut took a cassette recording with him on the Soyuz TM-7 in 1988. He left the cover of the cassette on Earth to save weight. The band members of Pink Floyd were present at the launch of the rocket.

Wouldn't it be a great statement against Putin if a Russian cosmonaut played this new Pink Floyd song up there?

    Well, he probably wouldn't survive.

Wow you've never seen the absolutely legendary Esquire before? It's a classic guitar David has owned since the late 70's (bought it around 1977 if my memory serves me right), and used it on his first solo album, The Wall, TFC, About Face, etc.

He's seen using this Esquire as early as the promo live videos he did for his solo album, and used it all throughout The Wall tour in 1980-81.
    Concerts:

    Roger Waters - Philadelphia, 2017.

Ozzy Osbourne - Camden, NJ, 2018.
