Have to agree, as good as that one is. Montreal, New York (not just 7/2), Dallas, Zurich, Paris... there's five with great sound that are not Oakland.

Nobody has posted any accurate info on a public forum about where the recordings come from and is ever likely to
    Thanks man!

P.S. I think I meant "lineage" and which bootleg version is closest to the "source". And the post you referred to explains just that.

Just wanted to throw this picture out there. It's found at 1:23 in the most recent Animals interview video on Pink Floyd's official Youtube channel. Notice how the board inputs are labeled "Guitar Snowy" "Acc Guit Snowy" "Acc Guit Rog"? This suggests it was taken while mixing a live Animals tour show. Whether that's a pic from in the studio or out at a gig, we don't know, but it seems to be a very clear image suggesting it was taken in studio to me. Very interesting.

That pic of the mixing desk is from the Rehearsals for the Animals Tour at the Olympia Hall in London, early January 1977. That pic, and plenty more, are also in the official Animals Song Book

Good to know, thank you. I can't believe none of this was recorded.

You've really picked out this mistake very well - my compliments!

Just had the chance to listen to the standalone CD version. Yes, unfortunately, this error is definitely also on here. It's at 2:30 mins.
Has no one at "das boot recording" listened to the test? With such an expensive product, and with this waiting time, that would have been the least. A correction on the part of the record company might be difficult since it is most likely on all media now. Too bad.

I have eliminated exactly just this spoken announcement in iZotope RX with the module "Spectral Repair". Who is interested at least in the repaired stereo wav track "2. Dogs" please write me a PM.

just so i get this right, as i now also heard the "sound" of a lady saying,...something...is this from the original recording and was it accidentally brought more forward thnx to the remix, or is purely a recent pick up, made DURING the remixing?

I think it's purely a recent pick up, made DURING the remixing.

You're right it's on the original mix too, and then here on the 2018 remix it's very noticeable. Things that were not noticeable at all before appear in the new mix as never been there before.

Too bad, I had relied on the opinion of JerryIsBored and unfortunately not checked it before.

Sorry that I have perhaps caused confusion for one or the other. My bad.
