Announced earlier today that the Traders Den would be closing at the end of the month.

Same here - hadn't really used them for quite a while, but did get quite a few interesting things back in the day. It's not easy to keep sites running, both in expense and personal time.

Wow, sad indeed. I don't think I ever used them with regularity as I rarely downloaded anything other than Floyd, but I preferred them over Dime. Pretty sure I haven't been over there since 2006-2007ish.

Thanks for posting this link. I've been out of town with minimal internet access for over week, so might have missed this news. That's now two of my regular sites going / gone.

Not overly surprised by the news, however. Their actual site has been struggling with the load for a while now. It often took multiple attempts just to load the pages. I sympathise with their rationale for not continuing and remain grateful that T
JMack keeps things going here plus also the work the mods put in here.

Heh, and tonight just trying to catch up with the last week at TTD, I'm getting a database error (again). So it's clearly having a tough time of it these days.

Update: just for the record, the DB error has been fixed so they're back again for now.

Sad news. I used to spend a lot of time on TTD and made some nice connections there. Imagine it wasn't easy for Lynne to make the decision, a lot of time and effort went into keeping it going.
